Ashley’s grandmother, a Breast Cancer survivor, attended the shoot and appears in the PSA with her. You can see Ashley tweeting #projectpink with her grandmother, interacting with young soccer players who are involved in the Project Pink program, and also pinning a message for her grandmother to the Project Pink bulletin board.
PUMA’s Project Pink is an initiative which raises money for Breast Cancer. Money is raised through the sale of Project Pink gear (Ashley is wearing a tshirt in the PSA from the collection), as well as from people tweeting #projectpink. Anyone is free to nominate a Breast Cancer charity (small or large) to receive the money, and people are encouraged to vote for the charity which will win the funds raised through the program.
Former Disney star Ashley Tisdale wants to fight cancer. That’s why she teamed up with PUMA Pink project to promote public awareness in hopes to save lives. The actress was recently joined by her mother for a public service announcement. It’s all in honor for Tisdale’s grandmother who battled and beat cancer(she’s also in the advertisement message). Check out the following message that’s feature in the video(which you can check out below)
Project Pink is PUMA’s fight-against-breast-cancer initiative, rooted in women’s soccer, that empowers young women to take action and effect change. It’s easy to get involved: buy a tee, tweet #projectpink, vote for a charity… Then tell a friend, who tells another, who tells two more. And, suddenly, we’re making a difference. PUMA has pledged to donate 100% of profits from the sale of Project Pink gear, as well as $1 per tweet, up to $25K. In the PSA for the program, our PUMA team gets ready for their Project Pink Game Day, benefitting breast cancer awareness. Ashley Tisdale, who wears pink for her grandmother Marilyn (also featured in the video), is at the game to show her support for the team, the cause, and share the experience with the team. Through the power of soccer, Project Pink unites women and young girls around the country to generate awareness about breast cancer, a disease that affects many of us. Kick it in pink with PUMA and visit puma.com/projectpink to get involved.
